Dreher et al. describes in the "Bericht zur Lage der Jugend in Österreich" (Youthreport Austria), that the development stages are marked with instability and crises. During that time, different changes destabilize the personal balance and new anchor points are nessecary. Role models are very important for the new orientation. For the youngsters it's hard to build trust. [cf. Dreher, E. et al. (2011), p. 59f]The targetgroup +for the international youth exchange LevelUp! are young people from social underprivileged family systems, aged between 14 an 19 years.The LevelUp! Team targeted, to support the youngsters in this development stage and to work with the participants on their personal bounderies and personal values.From the 7th till the 14th of August 2016, 16 youngsters from the Netherlands and Austria will work on this topics. To provide an undisturbed place, the organisationsteam has chosen a mountain hut in the styrian nationalpark "Almenland".One of the most present topic nowadays deals with the refugees theme all over Europe. Its popular, that this is a very polarizing topic. It isn't the supervisors motivation to manipulate the youngsters opinion, their goal is to support the young people to reflect the public arguments and to built their own position. To reach this goal, it's nessecary, to encourage the participants to work on their personal bounderies and values, different pedagogic methods, self reflection, group- and singlesettings are the supervisors tools.Social media plattforms will be used to provide a blog to exchange informations and enable discussions.To present learning outputs to the general public an art installation will be placed near the accomotation in fall 2016 in the course of a follow-up event. We are all a part of a group - we are all different! LevelUp!
