Let's share tools for sustainable consumption

Following a growing interest for environmental issues in partners' organisation and a youth exchange proposed by Concordia Aquitaine in February 2014 about sustainable consumption, Concordia decided to develop a training. The Alliance and ERY networks will be strenghten.
Partners :
-International: Greece (ELIX), Serbia (YRS), Italia (Gaia), Germany (IBG), France (Concordia Aquitaine)
-Local: City Council Saint Caprais, Federation of municipalities of l'Entre deux Mers and Vallon d'Artolie with their youth/children structures, Regional Council, DRJSCS, local associations (Colibri 33, Transition, CREPAQ)
Public cible :
19 youth workers from Programm and Partner countries and 3 trainers (France and Serbia)
Objectives:
-Encourage participants to share their knowledges and expertise as well as their experiences on European project management on issues related to sustainable consumption;
-Improve and develop technical skills to put in place new projects to raise awarness about sustainable consumption
- Develop new tools (games, workshops, activities) to apply knowledge acquired during the training and be more efficient on raising awarness activities
European objectives :
-Promote European identity
-Develop solidarity and stimulate tolerance
-Favor intercultural and intergenerationnal dialogue
-Promote European cooperation
Activities :
-Therorical reflexion on sustainable consumption and raising awarness methods
-Creation of sensitization tools and testing on a children/youth public of the activities developped
-Tour of innovative projects
-Exchange time on good pratices and methodologies of participants and their organizations
Methodology:
We use non formal methodes: workshops, small and big mixed groups, manual work, sharing of experience and knowledge, debates, participative evaluations.
Participants are actively implicated in all the phases of the project, from preparationto final realisation. They prepare the training at home, are active during the project and go back home with tools to disseminate the final results.
Impact:
-Improvement of professional pratices in the field of environemental sensitization for the public the associations are working with
-Creation of a ntework of European youth workers multipliers
-Open mindness of the trainees
