In project "Let's MOVE"taking part two partners:Associação Intercultural Amigos da Mobilidade from Portugal and Bona Fides Association from Poland.The project will engage 2 volunteers: from Poland, whose voluntary service will last 10months-preferable since 2nd July 2016 to 2nd May 2017 in Barcelos,Braga region,Portugal.We would like to draw attention to one of the major problems of modern society - which is increasingly diverse social groups. Through regional dialogue,through social campaigns and education of smaller groups we want to point to the real possibility to solve specific problems which are connected with migrants, with attitude of local residents to them and to the minorities like Romes people.Another goal is to educate and improve skills of the young persons in the intercultural dialogue. Thanks to the project, we would like to raise the issue of social exclusion and actively counteract this phenomenon in all aspects.Objectives of the project:- increasing intercultural dialogue and cooperation between people, - pay attention to defending human rights especially women rights as well as minorities rights and equality of opportunities and solidarity, tolerance,- social inclusion for immigrants in local community, building tolerance between those both parties,- to explore and exchange best practices in the field of youth work development in the Silva, Barcelos by delivering local youth work in multicultural groups,- to engage local youth in a diverse range of activities, such as the provision of education and youth work services that will support the local dialogue of different youth groups in Barcelos, as well as offer space for intercultural learning and European awareness,- stimulating members of the local partner-organizations to work as volunteers in non-profit projects of social importance;- to empower children, youngsters from socially excluded communities through the use of non formal learning methods and intercultural learning.The project activties are:1.Immigrant families supportVolunteers will engaging in a process of adaptation families who are temporarily transferred from areas of conflict to the northern region of Portugal.Among the proposed activities is a work for inclusion of newcomers to the community Barcelos.2.Work with minoritiesWorking with a growing number of members of the Roma community in the local society.Volunteers will have an opportunity to demonstrate their empathy,tolerance and understanding and to develop skills of dialogue and cooperation in international and intercultural field.3.Providing activities with aim to combat violence against womenThey will searching for effective ways of preventing violence in the family,school,workplace and public space through a number of preventive activities.4.Drug addiction problem amon youngsters social campaignes and workshops5.Cooperation with the Office of Tourism and the City Hall of Barcelos by organizing local festivals and celebrations6.Seminary presentation Erasmus+ Programme opportunities,Europen Union 7. Cultural evenings where volunteers will present their own contry and region of PolandActions which will be taken in the group of refugees/immigrants are designed to allow the integration of a group of non-European cultural community in the town of Barcelos, facilitating mutual understanding and dissemination of knowledge about the problem of population migration and multiculturalism in the modern world. The volunteers will try to get closer and warm relations with local residents, get rid of mutual stereotypes. The result of actions will be increase the knowledge and expand the horizons of the local community, as well as overcoming the fear of the unknown. It will will have a positive attitude to people from countries outside of Europe and to reap the best practices from each other. Activation measures will affect both groups to engage Barcelos community to work towards overcoming intercultural barriers. Similarly, the actions which will be taken for peoples who are victims of violence and abuse drugs will result in the spread of knowledge on these subjects, activation of the local community, to break down stereotypes and encourage to help people who are in need.
