PROJECT
FINISHED
The project "Let's create our future! It is in our hands!" had a main goal: to motivate youth workers, first of all, to think about and “imagine” the change they would like to see in the world of youth around them. By sharing and discussing ideas and experience with their peers from other countries as well as scholars and entrepreneurs engaged in the field of civil economy, we aimed at stimulating their open-mindedness and foresee new possibilities and ways to make use of their own talents. In this sense, our goal was that the main activity of the project entitled Summer School became a real laboratory of youth workers’ entrepreneurial spirit and creativity. Summer School was held between 24th and 28th August, 2015 in Prague - Vinoř.
Summer School was attended by 50 youth workers from 7 European countries (CZ, CR, RO, GE, SP, PO, IT). Age of participants was between 19 – 35 years and the gender proportion was 31 female and 19 male.
Different informal and non-formal learning methods were used during the school such as interactive workshops, plenary discussions on major topics of interest as well as personal and group meetings of the participants with the entrepreneurs and scholars present; outdoor recreational activities and visits, attendance of public debate "Man an Economics" etc. Through all these activities we pursued to establish a climate of open communication and dynamic collaboration between all the participants on which basis strong and lasting relationships can be founded.
After carrying out locally in their countries of origin the preliminary stage of the project by presenting it through their own channels of communication and afterwards selecting both the youth workers and tutors as well as some experts in the field appointed to support and guide them in the stage of preparation for the school each partner organization had active role also in this stage of actual implementation.
The network established throughout the implementation of the project permitted the sharing of expertise and valuable competences among the partners. The good level of coordination and, collaboration motivated us to undertake also future joint initiatives. Among them we can list, on one hand, the activities already previously planned that involved two or more of the partner organizations. On the other hand, we had already put into action some exchange visits in order to get to know better the operating of the different associations and, thus, identify what is the most appropriate kind of future projects to undertake. Our intention is to preserve the network already established and even extend it by inviting also other partners to take part in the future initiatives.
