"Let's Connect Adult Learners" was a project providing learning mobility to adult education staff in organisation društvo Connect. Since its establishment, društvo Connect has been very active in the field of non-formal education. We have implemented various projects for both young people and adult learners, valorising our experience with non-formal education. Connect has been actively in touch with adult learners. We organise a number of local activities for adult learners. However, we identified that the organisation lacked sufficient competences in several key fields. We undertook a strategic analysis of our strengths and weaknesses. We identified the needs for further training for our staff, both voluntary and employed. The proposed project consisted of sending our staff to 6 structured training courses abroad. These took place during a period of two years. There was intensive preparation before the courses. After them, participants were encouraged to use in practice what they have learnt and implement their own personal action plans. We also disseminated results of the training courses. The project also helped us enhance our network of international partners. All of this helped us prepare more and better educational activities and will benefit adult learners in the end result. The project enabled us to send team members of our organisation to training courses in other European countries. At the training courses, participants learned more about topics such as project management, NGO management, non-formal education, European citizenship, media education, global challenges, etc. This helped us to increase the capacity of our organisation and provide adults in our region and in the whole of Slovenia with high-quality activities of non-formal education.
