PROJECT
FINISHED
The idea of the project was born from the experiences collected during the implementation of youth projects with our partners. Despite of the standard sin effect youth projects are very diverse if it comes to the quality of learning outcomes, which gives us the possibility to compare the results of projects. We saw many youth projects where participants – despite very positive feelings - could not tell what they learnt during the youth project, how they could use the outcomes in the future. Therefore we think there is a clear need of a TC which not only aims to transfer new tools but helps to use the existing tools/methodological knowledge from a different perspective; this aim need self-reflection in the first place. The project aims at increasing the quality of youth work through the development of capabilities of active trainers and facilitators active on the youth field. Development of human capital allow the participants to implement higher quality youth projects, to tackle the objective of their projects in a more efficient way, contributing to the general aims of ERASMUS+ programme.A horizontal aim of the project is to raise the awareness of professionals active in the non-formal education field that their daily work has to be supported continuously (or at least from time to time) with self-reflection and self-knowledge activities to help processing experiences gathered as youth workers. New perspectives are opened if we look at our previous difficulties from a different angle, we find our own working style and develop new solutions for existing problems with the help of self-reflection. The project also aims at developing professional competences, efficiency and cooperation and to prevent burn-out syndrome.Methodology of the TC is eclectic; it integrates tools related to NFE, psychology and psychotherapy, socio-therapy, respecting the competence limits of participants.Learning outcomes of the project: the project develop social and personality-connected competences, participants learn new methods, learn from each other and develop a need and practice for regular and critical self-reflection. The following attitudes and skills are developed or changed: self-confidence, leadership skills, organizational skills, sense of initiative, respect for boundaries, communicational flexibility, interpersonal flexibility, ability to establish and keep emotional connection, cooperation, result-oriented planning and execution, ability to evaluate, critical and solution-oriented way of thinking, analytical thinking, ability to react properly.Furthermore, the project develops the participants at the following areas: intercultural communication, multicultural attitude, tolerance and empathy, professional use of English, ICT tools. The TC is planned to be implemented in October 2016, involving 20 professionals (Trainer, facilitator, mentor, coach) aged between 25 and 40, who are experienced at planning and implementing ERASMUS+ projects and motivated at devoting time and capacity to develop themselves. Participants are closely related to partner organizations as regular or contract-based educators. Condition for selection includes participation in a skype interview during preparation phase of the project, aimed at mapping motivations of applicants and participation at a preparatory meeting organized by partner organizations.
