Les Murs-Murs de la démocratie
Start date: May 5, 2015, End date: Mar 4, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Following the various editions of Murs-Murs and the seminar :"Walls falling down, zoom on the Arabics rêvoltutions", the FDMJC Côtes d'Armor organizes from 26th of december to 2d of january, in the Cotes d'Armor, a European seminar cooperatively with the association GRAD Bosnian, with German from the Kindervereinigung e.V Leipzig, Palestinian from Laylac (association from the refugee camp Laylac of the refugee camp Deisheh, the Tunisian Association "Les anciens animateurs de Bir el Bey", belgian from the « Fédération des Maisons de Jeunes en Belgique francophone ». At the last European seminar held in September 2014, initiated by the FDMJC22, youngsters exchanged, organized debates, participated, discovered other realities and have accepted to confront their own, accepted the contradictions and have said that together, each in their place, they've participated in the same world, with common concerns despite difficulties and very different realities. Affinity, a sense of belonging to the same group have been developed, the same will be displayed: "to make a difference" to influence the world around them. Recent evidence that our societies bring us to reaffirm the role that we have in everyday life, as youth organizations. Prepare young people to exercise their citizenship actively, it means in everyday life, enabling them to understand the world around them, learn how to project it, to take responsibility in everyday life, first of all and then to other levels. This requires having citizenship practices, more than speeches, to confront others different from themselves. Walt Whitman already reminded in the late nineteenth century "that there will be no progress in democracy, without any appeal to the imagination that carries the poetry in all its forms." So no law stated, without also to suggest ways in emotion, be it literary, dramatic, musical or cinematic ... This is central to our next meeting. Question the place of the imagination, the creation of art as a fundamental issue of the democratic exercise. As Youth workers, What's the dream, the utopia, and how it have to be at the heart of our educational projects of popular or alternative education structures? Use art, poetry to imagine tomorrow's society, it is also to break down the walls oftoday. We will invite six participants (4 youngsters involved intheir youth structure, a pedagogical facilitator and an "expert"). The experts will be resource persons both theoretically (academics in philosophy and educational sciences) and technical (filmmakers, journalists ....). They all have in common is that they have a reflection on the democratic process and to be interested in the steps of popular education that is allowing everyone to participate and get involved in the debate. Les participants rendront compte de leur action dans un journal officiel, sous une forme radiophonique qui sera ensuite transmise sur une radio, dans une télévision locale, et en ligne... Une forme qu’ils auront ensemble imaginé et décidé. The participants will report their action in an official newspaper, under a radio shape which will be broadcast on a radio, a local TV, on line… A shape, they will together imagine and decide about.
