The ‘Specifieke lerarenopleiding’ (Specific teacher training) from Het Perspectief has gained considerable experience over the past few years in 4 clusters:- CLIL- field research- video coaching- diversity/intercultural communicationThe specific teacher training aspires to become a centre of excellence for not only pre-service teacher trainees, but for all teachers at any stage on the continuum of the teaching career: novice teacher – teacher – expert teacher.Through the KA1 project the specific teacher training of Het Perspectief wants to acquire knowledge/ good practices/research results to become a centre of excellence for Flanders, specifically for East and West Flanders. This means in particular that the training reaches out to schools, teacher training institutes, pedagogical coaching services etc.We will focus on CLIL, field research and video coaching because of the innovative aspect on the one hand and diversity/intercultural communication because of the social importance on the other hand.As a concrete and durable result of this KA1 project two new courses will be developed for teachers, schools, pedagogical coaching services and teacher training institutes. These courses will be offered as from 1 September 2016 in Ghent.- Field study course for pre-school, primary and secondary education.- Course "Toolkit teacher coach" for teacher mentors.Besides that we will develop a third course for teachers extending to professionals and volunteers who support newcomers in their first encounter with Flanders. This course will also be offered as from 1 September 2016 in Ghent.As for CLIL we want to attain as a result to offer the master class CLIL to integrated teacher training institutes so that their trainees too can gain competence in CLIL.
