The project BETTER UNDERSTANDING is a bilateral project aimed at improvement leadership, management and fundraising skills of youth workers from both participating organizations. The aim is firstly to map the needs and interests of young people in Várpalota and Kremnica, secondly to analyse the implements for youth policy at local, regional and national level, thirdly to get a general knowledge about youth organizations and to network it. During the two sessions lasting 7 days, 8 youth workers will focus on mutual exchange of skills and a prezentation of successful real-life examples. The first session will take place at Várpalota, the second will be in Kremnica. For planning and evaluation of self-development and non-formal learning we will use individual and group couching. With this pilot project we want to improve the status of young people in Kremnica, to make a communication with local government deeper, to provide successful examples of youth policy supporting and to spread a network of co-operating organizations. From youth workers we expect permanent improvement in the field of working with youth, utilization of gained knowledge and new methods. From local government we expect the improving of the youth policy supporting in a town.
