Learning Materials for Pharmaceutical Assistants and Technicians' Foreign Work Placements (PHARMA)

The aim of the project is to improve quality and efficiency of pharmaceutical assistant/technician-students’ preparation process prior to their work placement periods abroad. In first meeting (Ljubljana,SI NOV 2011) partners compared the required competences and curricula and working life requirements thus mapping out similarities and differences between countries. This was followed by creating content list for the draft version of the booklets. Once draft versions had been developed after first meeting in spring 2012 materials were submitted for peer evaluation. After this materials were translated and partners compared the national draft versions to ensure coherence of the booklets. In second meeting in Cork IE NOV 2012 drafts were checked again and agreement made how content should be revised. Rewriting was done, second drafts were handed in for students testing the materials in spring 2013 and materials were peer evaluated for the second time. After students’ feedback and peer evaluation necessary adjustments were and implemented. The last tasks during project were editing and getting the layout completed that were done in early autumn 2013. By early October 2013 materials were ready and on website and printed before Helsinki/Tallinn meeting. National level dissemination started in late October and continues after project’s official expiring.
