Learn Digital Competences is a eight-day training course under Youth mobility action which will take place in Topola , Central Serbia from 7-15.11. 2014. The training will be organized by TERRA SLAVOICA organization form Croatia. Organization Ecological association for protection and improvement of the environment, EKO- Mladenovac from Serbia will be the hosting organization.
The aim of the project is to promote digital competence among young people to contribute to an inclusive, dynamic and competitive economy. The objectives are: to improve the use of ICT (Information communications technology) of participants; to raise awareness, attitude and ability of individuals to appropriately use digital tools and facilities to identify, manage, integrate and synthesize digital resources, construct new knowledge, create media expressions, and communicate with others.
The training is planned to take place in Topola, Central Serbia which is equipped with the necessary infrastructure for the training, which will provide good and comfortable working atmosphere.
Toward the objectives, the training focuses on: giving basic information, practical knowledge and training in the needs, in concept of digital competence. Non formal and informal education will be the main tool during the project. Techniques such as "brainstorming" or "role-play", group discussion, discussions in small groups, simulations of real situations, and sharing opinions and experiences between participants and trainers will be used on training. Training is designed in a way to give participants a chance to speak their mind in all areas. This structure of project is flexible, which means that trainers and participants have responsibility for their needs and needs of a group through the whole process. As part of activities on training participants will have chance to visit local touristic organization Oplenac Topola which is one of good examples how local public organization work and include young people and support youth initiative. Also participants will have chance to see presentation of good practice of organization-Balkan Initiative for Tolerance which is active in digital area. The aim of presentation is to share their experience with participants and to offer new tools to youth -how to work on development of mobile applications and web platforms, typical of "start-up" initiatives and IT sector.
The participants are 48 young people,students, youth workers or unemployed young people who would like to learn more about digital competences and improve their competence in that area. Participants are coming from: Croatia, Romania, Turkey, Italy, Serbia, Monte Negro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Spain, Romania and Hungary.
By the end of this course, participants will improve their use of ICT; will be able to use digital tools and facilities to identify, analyze and synthesize digital resources, construct new knowledge, create media expressions, and communicate with others in the context of specific life situations and increase knowledge about importance of culture and communication and how digitalization effect on it.
