The Training Course of the project Lead 4 Lead aims at improving the social context of young people by improving leadership skills of youth workers and leaders as the absence of these skills is believed to be the grounds for weak structure and social base of many youth organisations. Through non-formal learning the youth workers and leader will acquire skills necessary for their work, so that they can contribute to the personal and socio-educational development of youth and encourage youth active participation in society in order to improve their prospects of employability. The objectives of the Training Course of the project Lead 4 Lead are related to the Erasmus + Programme, these being: to improve personal and professional development of youth workers and leaders through informal learning; to promote entrepreneurship skills of the participants that they could conduct future projects of KA2 and KA3; to promote further cooperation between the participating youth organisations in order to share the best practices at the European level; to promote the notion of diversity and the EU democratic values within the youth work. The Training Course Lead 4 Lead is aimed to youth workers or leaders who have previously had any initiative in the field of youth either within their territories or international international spectrum by using non-formal education as a tool to empower young people and promoting their social inclusion. The Training Course Lead 4 Lead will involve 24 participants from 6 different countries including the participants through Collective GENTES. The partner countries are the following: Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Spain. The activity, Training Course Lead 4 Lead 4 is considered to be a practical way of non-formal learning in order to articulate the social leadership through the use of interactive and participatory methods based on the "Intervention Strategy for Youth Dynamization". The strategy was created by Collectivo Gentes in order to foster personal and professional development for youth workers and leaders (Appendix Y). The methodology to be applied in order to achieve the objectives of the project Lead 4 Lead is the following: non-formal learning methodology in human rights education using Compass proposed activities; IARAR (Intersubjectivity-Action-Reflection-Action-Reflection - http://pedrotorres.org/el-metodo-iarar/); open dialogue; attention increase techniques, creativity and emotional expressiveness; group and collaborative techniques; active and interactive participation; structured dialogue; group dynamics techniques; data analysis; role-play; theatre techniques; social learning methodology (Appendix Z, pp. 4-8). It is expected that as a result of Training Course Lead 4 Lead the participants will improve the following skills: how to identify and develop their own leadership style; how to develop self-awareness by applying the analysis of SWOT-MECA; how to create communication strategies and dissemination of projects and its activities in order to improve their visibility; how to develop coach to coach skill which are delegation, giving and receiving feedback, effective communication and active listening; team and conflict management skills by incorporating the notion of human rights in daily practices (Compass / Compassito); how to design and plan the macro-regional strategies focusing on social impact by sharing best practices; how to manage projects under the Erasmus +; how to assess and make reflections applying the tools of Youthpass and European Portfolio for Youth Leaders and Youth workers. In addition participants will improve their language and intercultural skills within the context of Spanish culture. After the project, the following impacts are expected: - Increased motivation and self-awareness of participants towards effective youth empowerment. - Improved cooperation between project Lead 4 Lead partners (development of future KA2). - Increased theoretical, technical and developed leadership skills. It is expected that the Training Course Lead 4 Lead will foster long term social change and improvement of the social inclusion of young people in the territories of youth workers and leaders. What is more, Training Course Lead 4 Lead is expected, by promoting collective reflection of the reality of youth work through exchange of ideas and perspectives, to address important issues related to youth needs. That will allow establishing the future cooperation of the participating countries (KA2) and work towards improvement of youth policies from local to European level (KA3).
