This Youth Exchange project (Action 1.1) is supported by Ile-de-France delegation of Concordia in partnership with The Centequatre the LGBT Centre Paris Ile de France and the National Dance Centre. It proposes to engage for 10 days, from Tuesday 22 September to Thursday October 1, a group of four nationalities in an intercultural exchange project around the theme of equality between women and men and to reflect on the role that the society has to influence individuals in the way they act and think according to their gender of reference, then prejudices and stereotypes that accompany it. A group of 20 young Europeans will meet to make a dance performance that shows their vision of equality between women and men and to participate in various workshops (theater forum, tours, quizzes, moving debate etc.) around the fight against gender discrimination and against stereotypes and prejudices. Through various creative activities and reflection, and with technical and educational support, young people benefit from different areas of expression (creation of dance, theatre, debate, etc.). They will not only enhance their artistic skills but also gain confidence in themselves and their own abilities. These workshops, complemented by time for dialogue, discussion and visits, allow them to establish a European network of young people to share experiences and cooperate on new projects. At the end of the exchange, the young people will organize a performance open to all residents of the area of Centquattre (The nineteenth arr. in Paris).
