The project brings together 6 partner organizations from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ireland and Malta to explore the opportunities offered by the new information and communication technologies to encourage learners to maintain and build upon their language skills in Bulgarian, Maltese, Greek and Russian languages. To this end the project consortium is going to apply interactive learning approaches, innovative e-learning platforms providing for computer assisted and mobile assisted language learning and an attractive and easy learning content. The project is aimed at adult learners (18+) of BG, GR, MT and RU as foreign or second languages: people participating in EU mobility for study and work; immigrants; other people who wish to develop their language skills in the target languages for personal reasons (cultural interest, friends, business contacts, etc).The main concept of the future product is that mini lessons and small language chunks are easy to learn and absorb. They require a little effort and with the new electronic applications, such as apps and widgets, allow for regular focus on a short language learning activity. The fact that learners can process the language on the go, at any time and place on more than one platform (online and mobile) allows endless flexibility. The end product will deliver 365 short language lessons, bringing learners from A1 to A2+ level using 10 minutes of short interactive activities. The learning content will be created in the 4 target languages in special templates allowing for its integration on the electronic platforms. The developed e-tool will be piloted by groups of users in BG, CY and MT and fine-tuned to assure high quality of the product. The consortium will raise awareness and disseminate the project with the view to further exploitation of the outputs and ensuring maximum impact of the project. The product will have good potential for sustainable exploitation, as the e-tool will be transferable to other languages.
