Talsi Region Community Foundation is the first community foundation in Latvia. It's created with aim to develop purposive philanthropy traditions and to promote community development in Talsi and region, to support public benefit projects and positive social changes in local society. By EVS project "Charity connects Europe" Talsi Region Community Foundation will improve philanthropy traditions and will use Youth bank as a powerful instrument to work with next donor generation. International and local volunteers will:- cooperate to create ideas for charity;- learn to attract donations;- open project programs;- learn to evaluate ideas of other youngsters.Project "Charity connects Europe" will host 2 volunteers from Turkey and France, who are interested in to work with different kind of social groups, have a wish to improve skills of audio visual communication by helping in Talsi Region Community Foundation's charity activities. The work of volunteers will help to make social campaigns more visible and attractive for society.EVS volunteers will improve their professional growth and emotional experience that will be useful in the future. To successfully achieve the intended objectives, in addition to mentor and organization employees, also professional coach will consult EVS volunteers.In addition to the Talsi Region Community Foundation provided tasks, EVS volunteers already showed initiative and offered national language and cooking workshops, trainings for youngsters and idea to prepare virtual information about Talsi region.
