La mobilité européenne - un atout pour l'insertion professionnelle et la citoyenneté
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Because of globalisation, it is more and more pivotal for youths in vocational training to enjoy work training abroad: it often significantly affects their future employability. Through this project Culture et Liberté along with its CFA partners aims to answer this crucial need and to add European mobility to said training in order to ensure a blended learning experience. The project’s audience includes two different types of trainees: apprentices aiming at a Bac Pro Commerce, for whom we are setting up a professional internship abroad lasting 14 days (65 participants); young Bac Pro Commerce or BTS graduates, to whom we’d like to offer the possibility of joining a mobility training set up as a professional internship abroad lasting either 8 weeks (22 participants). To complete our project, we rely on our experience in the field of French-German exchanges aimed at youths either in vocational training or integrating the work-force; on our expertise with the former Leonardo da Vinci programme, and on the tools developed with various partners within the framework of a project aiming at transferring innovation, the results of which are summed up in a database named INTAKT. This database, which enables the transfer of information between the project’s partners, is also a tool which both helps to define the purposes of the training and to self-evaluate the participants.Regarding the impact and the expected results, we aim at:a) For trainees enrolled in a Bac Commerce Pro, to increase their day-to-day self-reliance and their awareness of the importance of a good command of foreign languages, and to improve their commitment to successfully complete their professional training.b) For young graduates, to acquire new professional skills and to improve their command of a foreign language, as these will affect their employability.c) For all these young people, it also means a rich approach of European citizenship, and intercultural attitude, sharing everyday life experience, in social and working places. The potential long-term benefits involve an intellectual and professional opening on the part of participants on an intercultural and European level. Culture et Liberté hopes thus to position itself as a relevant actor in the coordination and setting up of European mobility programmes aimed at youths in professional training and young graduates in Paris and its region.
