his Chair application is presented by Isabelle BOSSE- PLATIERE, professor of public law at the University of Rennes 1 , Head of the Rennes European Research Centre (CEDRE) - part of the Western Institute of Law and European Studies (UMR CNRS 6262 ), Deputy Director of the SHOS Graduate School . The application relates to the research project the candidate has conducted since her Ph. D on the external action of the European Union, and corresponds to the priority axes of research into European law developed in Rennes. It is based on 3 complementary components: pedagogical ,factual and scientific .The Pedagogical component consists of courses on European integration and specific courses / pedagogical tools concerning the EU’s external action : general courses by the Chair will be intended for the best students of License 1 License2 and 3, selected each year by the Law Faculty . In addition , courses ( subject to acceptance ) will be offered to non-specialist doctoral students enrolled in Breton universities ( PRES - UEB) PhD, with a view to raising awareness of European issues . The existing course on the external action of the EU will be accompanied by the development of a new teaching tool consisting of a book and digital factsheets . The events organized each year by the Chair meet two concerns : international openness and openness to practitioners and civil society.- A series of lectures aimed at remote distribution of the European legal model and awareness of the external relations of the EU . It will be aimed at post- graduate and PhD students from partner universities of the international network of the JMC ( Senegal , Burkina> Faso , Mexico, Brazil , Canada, Thailand) students. Several public lectures will ensure the opening of the Chair to the general public , to practitioners or continuous education students . The Chair will organize a group of collaborative research on the principles and objectives of the EU’s external involving young researchers.
