„Integration durch Kunst e.V.“ offers young immigrants a place where they can develop their strenghts and personality through various types of art.Because of other projects, that have been done, a lot of the young participants have already contact, mainly through social networks. They live already in an Europe without borders.The main topic „Migration/ Escape“ and the current situation of the refugees is everyday news to our juvenile. They talk frequently about it, because they feel they have an understanding. This topic has a long history – especially in Europe. It is our goal to get together with young people from different countries to have a discussion about the current state of the refugees and have talks to people with opinions from diverse angles.5 groups from eastern europe, all with different backgrounds in theater, will participate in our exchange. All 5 groups work with children and adolescent – mainly with those who are disadvantaged (poverty, social status, etc.). One of those groups is stacked with refugees from Ukraine – who now are active and receive the chance to participate. Different styles of performing art makes it possible for the young people to create new angles for the topic and deal with it better – to feel more comfortable with it. The young people will get more background information. By visiting a local refugee-camp and get in touch with the people living there the goal will be accomplished.Before coming over to Bremen all 5 groups will have to do homework fist – by preparing a short theaterpiece. Doing so will give the participants the chance to deal with the topic „Migration/Escape“ in advance and to contribute to the meeting here their point of view on it through arts. Split in smaller groups they will work all together in dance, mime and theater classes.The adolescent from Bremen will prepare everything for the exchange. They prepare a guideline for all partnergroups full of information about Germany and Bremen. Every guest-group will have two „godparents“ from the german side. By using translators the communication will work.The hight ratio of involvement of adolescents into this roject will strengthen their self-dependence, responsibilities and development of their personality. The international understanding without borders will help the young people to get an european feeling. All 6 groups will experience together colouful and different days in which they will make progress in their thinking about the topic of „Migration/ Escape“ and refugees. The understanding for the culture and other characteristics will be supported.All 72 participants are multipliers in their own family, school, university or at work. At the end of the exchange all participants will receive the „Youthpass-certificate“, which will add value to their curriculum vitae. The evaluation and public relations, work with the press and internet will make the sustained yield visible.
