FINISHED
There are 60 students (boys and girls) and 6 caretakers are going to take part in the project. The number of caretakers results from the regulations about the organization of abroad trips for schoolchildren. The pupils who take part in recruitment process are from the vocational high school in Zespół Szkół nr 2 in Wyszków and they study in the following specializations: logistics, forwarding, electrician, advertising, IT, mechanics, mechanics of vehicles, devices and systems for renewable energy. They are pupils of the first, second and third year. The pupils are going to three different places in three groups. 1st group: the pupils of electrician, mechanics, mechanics of vehicles, logistics and forwarding specializations: are going to Berlin in Germany; 2nd group: the pupils of IT, the pupils of mechanics, mechanics of vehicles and IT, logistics and forwarding, devices and systems for renewable energy specializations are going to Rimini in Italy; 3rd group: the students of IT, advertising, logistics and forwarding, specializations are going to Portsmouth in the UK. The project will take place from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2016 – all two school years, that is why students from the same profession can go to different places. The idea for this project originates from students' needs to be in touch with the latest technologies. Unfortunately, because of financial reasons, our school laboratories are not equipped with the most modern technology equipment, especially computer programs and other technological facilities. What is more, our pupils have taken part in a school survey in which they clearly stated they are interested in taking part in this kind of projects. Students admitted, almost unanimously, that this kind of projects will help them to get better jobs in the future, to increase their self-confidence and to overcome a linguistic barrier. The most important aims of this project are: the improvement of students' abilities and competence which will help students to find a good job in the future; the improvement of the quality of vocational education that enables our graduates to improve their skills so that they can compete with the other graduates on the job market; the promotion and cognition of new technology especially those which contribute to the protection of the environment; the improvement of the knowledge of English; the propagation of the European citizen attitude; opportunity to use knowledge in practice and to get more professional experience; motivation to achieve better results in education.
Besides, the results of this project are: Students personal and professional skills improvement, project final report and promotion of mobility project in our region, new school practice plan; promotion of using ICT; to extend the cooperation with Partner Countries.
