European Voluntary Service project "KreAktivnost youth" was held in the Youth Centre Podlaga and on other locations in Se?ana. We hosted a volunteer Verena Deutsch from Germany. For a period of 5 months from 05.05.2015 to 05.10.2015 she was a part of our working team in the youth center Podlaga, an important part of the organizational team for the summer Youth festival Mladifest and also a part of the whole community. The focus of the project was to strengthen creativity and the development of arts and culture, to strenghten our aspect of active citizenship, our European consciousness and democratic values. Her main tasks were helping to organize the 14-day Summer Youth Festival Mladifest. She was actively involved in our major cultural and creative activities (concerts, performances, exhibitions, Movieschool and others), she was involved in informing young people (distribution of information materials and activities on social networking sites). She was promoting intercultural dialogue and Erasmus + program. During her work, she was cooperating a lot with organizations and individuals in the community. With her ideas and knowledge she has contributed to the developement of the youth field in our local community. In our Youth center she created an EVS corner, also through her activities she did a lot for promotion of Erasmus+ program. The project has enabled her to strenghten and to gain organization skills, knowledge of project management and group work or teambuilding skills. All those were her basic learning intentions. Living in our community has been a pleasant intercultural experience for her, as well as for young people and other local residents, with whom she was in a contact. During the project, we used methods such as project work, group and individual work, empirical and informal learning. Cooperation with the partner - sending organization was good, cooperation with the Slovenian national agency was a great support. The entire project is estimated to be successful. Our volunteer Verena has decided to continue her studies in Slovenia and we are still regulary in contact with her. She is a part of working team for preparing youth festival Mladifest 2016. She continues to develope the Quiddich game, which she started to play with youngsters during her EVS project in Se?ana.
