The project included a 2-weeks vocational training for 71 students preparing for the profession of landscape architecture technician. The students went on a work placement, which was organized by the resort based in Kokkino Nero. The institution where students held a practice is engaged in vocational training in the wider construction industry, including escecially the field of landscape architecture. It has access to the most modern machinery, equipment, programs and workstations used now to learn the profession of landscape architecture technician. Organisers provided students woth possibility to develop the professional skills of future landscape architects, due to the rapidly growing job market in this field. The basic programme goals of the project were to increase skills and knowledge of participants concernig design and building natural stone pavemants within the historic and modern architecture landscape. In addition, the trainees acquainted with new computer programs, technical devices used in this profession. They perfected the practical skills involved in making measurements surveyor modern equipment, including devices that use laser techniques, setting up the roads and paths in gardens and parks, bond cobblestones, designing sites using decorative pavement. By doing practical tasks, which has been allocated 80% of the time they learned how to find solutions for emerging-to-date issues and challenges architecture and mastered the ability to make a decision regarding the application of optimized operating techniques. One of the tasks of the project was comprehensive, multidirectional development of students. In addition to deepening practical competence in the field of vocational training, they had the opportunity to compare technologies and tools used in Greek landscape architecture sector.They experienced a Greek (European) labor market and its needs in the field of landscape architecture.
