Korszerű tudás integrálása egy megújuló iskolában
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Deák Ferenc High School of Szeged has applied for the Erasmus + Mobility Programme for the first time. All the 5 participants of the programme propagated by the project coordinator, who is one of the deputy heads of the school, have more than 15 years of teaching experience, and teach predominantly in English-Hungarian bilingual classes, which require sophisticated knowledge of the target language and the content-related subject – biology, history, cultural studies – at the same time. The applicants intended to take part in one- or two-week courses in England, Ireland and Malta in the summer of 2015, from July to August. The selected courses aimed at enhancing the competence of the participants in the fields of the target language, CLIL and British culture, equipping them with digital and methodological expertise. We received support in selecting the courses and keeping in touch with the partner institutions from the project management team of ’Hungary-Expert’. All applicants have participated equally in the application process. The goal of the project was to develop the language speaking, methodological and digital competence of the participants, to gain access to additional educational material, to acquire further knowledge about online tools and sources, new methodological trends in order to integrate them into the teaching process, as well as disseminating the newly acquired knowledge, experience and products among our colleagues. It was high priority within the programme to widen the network of international partnerships of our school through online and mobility co-operation, and to increase the number of colleagues taking part in foreign training courses, which goals are articulated in our institutional strategy. The personal and institutional experience gained through working with the present project also contributes to achieving the above mentioned objectives. As a result of the programme, the number of highly motivated teachers and students with intercultural experience will grow, our school will seem far more attractive, and its international dimensions will further widen.
