„Kompetentni w Europie”project is a long-term action (24 months), the aim of which is to increase the quality of the school’s performance by developing the skills of its employees. The goal of the project is to enable 17 teachers and office workers to participate in overseas courses developing language skills (English and German), courses focused on the use of modern ICT technology in lessons of various subjects, implementation of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) and courses presenting methods of school management as exemplified by Finnish schools. Among the participants of the project there is the management staff (the head teacher), there are also office workers (3 people), but first and foremost there are teachers of various subjects: Geography, Mathematics, Physics, History, Social Science, IT and foreign languages . The project will be constantly monitored by the coordinator, who will control its correct execution and also ensure high quality of the courses attended by particular participants. As a result of the project, our school will acquire a European dimension: language skills of a considerable group of the school employees will be improved, the management staff will learn about new solutions which can positively affect the school’s management, and the teachers will gain access to inspiring modern methods of working with students, such as the use of new technologies in the classroom and bilingual teaching. The long-term effect of the project will be the development of the staff’s competence, resulting in greater attractiveness of various lessons. This will lead to the increase in students’ motivation, reduction of the drop-out phenomenon, development of students’ and teachers’ interest in other European programmes, and in this way – their further growth. The school’s participation in the project will undoubtedly make it more attractive for the local community.
