KOMPETENCJE TRENERSKIE NA MIARĘ SL BENFICA
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project represents a further stage in the development of regional football coaches' skills. Since July 1, 2013 the project promoter has been carrying out the project in the framework of the programme "Lifelong Learning Programme" - a sectoral programme financed under "Leonardo da Vinci" which is intended to offer support for 30 football coaches/instructors from the region of Lower Silesia, where there was a very good feedback from the participants and from the Lower Silesia Football Association regarding the targeting of support for this professional group. There were also many reports regarding the deficit of similar forms of coaching in the market [opportunities for further development and acquisition of new, even innovative methods of coaching in order to achieve the greatest success on the pitch]. After obtaining the fundamental coach license the only form of development left for the coaches is self-improvement, as in Poland coaches' education system is very poor. Another driving force for implementing similar ventures is the multitude of candidates' applications for the project [within 1 recruitment the organization received as much as 40 applications whereas there were 8 available vacancies; so far 3 recruitments have been carried out]. In view of the above, we spotted a priority of support in this group of specialists - implementation of activities within job-shadowing in the best clubs in the world as one of statutory tasks and acquiring funds for it. The target group includes 31 people [20 people from the region of Lower Silesia and 11 people from outside the region], with coaches' licenses who wish to develop from their own initiative their coaching skills through participation in vocational training, such as foreign internships like job shadowing, learning master game tactics, coaching methods as well as managerial skills which without doubt will be useful in Polish football [particularly for small clubs, children's football clubs]. According to the Erasmus+ Programme, the main objective of this project is to raise the level of 31 football coaches' coaching competence through participation in bi-weekly observations of foreign coaching classes in Portugal. Specific objectives: - learning/developing effective [master] coaching methods by attending internships such as job shadowing, - learning effective [master] methods of functioning in sports environment in terms of managerial skills, - developing international dialogue between non-governmental organization working for the development of football in the region, promoting health and physical education with a large foreign sports club and coaches through the organization of pioneering methods of development coaching competence in the region, - developing linguistic competence in English and Portuguese, - acquiring/broadening knowledge about habits in the country of the Host Institution, the outline of the history of Lisbon and Portugal [cultural preparation]. The project implementation will ensure only a positive impact on the current market: - at local level: will increase the prestige of the young and small sports club Centrum Odkrywania Młodych Talentów 2012 [Center for Discovering of Young Talents 2012] having its registered office in rural areas, - at regional level: will increase the number of highly qualified coaches in the regional market and will enable the creation of stronger relationships between sports clubs in the region [the project participants will be representatives of the clubs], - at national level: will increase the number of highly qualified coaches in the domestic market, - at European/international level: development of cooperation between organizations having different prestige, different mentalities and traditions - mutual exchange of information [increase of partner organizations' cultural, geographical and social awareness].
