FINISHED
The aim of the project is to make Interreg match its first goals : local development and strengthening of governance. Indeed although various good projects have succeeded on a cross border level for the past ten years, the diversity of forms of administrative andpolitical organisations in namely Mediterranean context is still an obstacle to cooperation. By harmonizing practices from those different countries but also by fostering partnership between different territorial levels, the project aims at overcoming the obstacle . It is basedon a four-fold programme : transfer of know how, knowing each other, training and exchanges of political decision makers, and communication means. Expected Results: • manual on Who does what? in Southern Europe• easy-access information database on best practices in interregional cooperation• training events, seminars and studies, also involving political administrators• creation of networks between INTERREG professionals, media specialists and political decision makers• feasibility study on a diffusion tool for larger public
