Kırsal Kesimlerdeki Gençlerin Aktif Vatandaşlığı - Active Citizenship of Young People in Rural Areas
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Dec 1, 2014 PROJECT  FINISHED

?Active Citizenship of Young People in Rural Areas? was a 8 days youth exchange about active citizenship under Erasmus+ Youth KA1 Programme. It was a youth exchange for young people who come from rural areas from different parts of Europe. We strongly believe that young people in rural areas needs more support than their peers in urban areas because of following challanges they face; educational difficulties, poverty and other challenges in rural area. That is why we organised this youth mobility project. The main aim was to bring youngsters from different rural parts of Europe in one place and to promote these people?s active citizenship and give them chances to see their own problems and help each other on how to overcome such issues in rural areas. We used games, simulations, field visit and other non formal and informal ways to reach our aims mentioned above. At the end of the project, widened young people?s perspectives and give them more change to improve themselves. It was on 3-10 September 2014 in Cankiri, Turkey. We were totally 29 people from 3 countries: Turkey, Romania and Italy.
