Developing language assessment skills This staff training project seeks to improve the quality and reliability of language testing and assessment among the member organisations of our Consortium and in the shared language assessment service of our Consortium members in one main area: Adult Migrants' Language Assessment and Testing. This two-year project consists of 36 different mobilities all to conferences and courses of language assessment and testing within Europe. Participating in this project are 13 Language Teachers and Assessors, of whom some are Language Test Item Writers. The the aim of the project is to improve Finnish language assessment and testing of adult migrants, a sector in which our Consortium members together are a leading provider in Southern Finland. This project seeks to broaden and deepen the expertise of Consortium languauge assessors in language assessment and testing. We expect the major impact of the project to be the improved placement testing, level testing and assessment for learning within the consortium. Through our extensive network of language testing contacts we expect the impact to be on a national scale.
