Two partner organizations collaborate In the project called ’Practice in Commerce in Italy’.The sender organisation is the Secondary School of Commerce and Economy of Terézváros. The students have the possibility to graduate in commerce-marketing, business administration in a 4-years curriculum starting after primary school (they will be qualified to get a job as commerce administrator), but also offers a 3-years salesman training program. There also is a 2-years program for those wanting to graduate.The host partner organisations is the GLOCALSRL training and consulting institute in Battipaglie, Italy. It has taken part in several Leonardo Mobility Projects as host transition, participated in finding finding venues for professional practice. They have partners in the region of Campanie such as vocational schools, other educational intitutions, sports clubs, companies, craftmen and firms of the service sector. During the three weeks of the professional practice they are going to organise visits for example to training institutes in commerce, to logistic companies, and to other organizations relevant for the project.The group of participants from the Secondary School of Commerce and Economy of Terézváros are students from the 10th and 11th grade in the academic year of 2016/15 with an average language skill of B1 in English. The project language is also English. The professional program will be organized in accordance with the participants’ educating and training curriculum. This way, the students’ compulsory summer practice is going to be fulfilled, meeting the requirements of their school.The aim during the three weeks of project is for the students to get an image of the particularities and functioning of Italian commerce sector through visiting special institutions, to meet the Italian training system of commerce by seeing special schools and universities, and to experience and use their through the years acquired theoretical and practical knowledge when observing the everydays of companies in the sector. This way, we can make their professional orientation easier after their graduation.Additionally, the purpose of the project is to develop participants’ communicative skills in a foreign language and social competences.It is also important from the aspect of the teachers to acquire professional experience, meet new technologies and pedagogical methods.The expected outcome of the project is getting professional experience, knowledge of a foreign language, becoming more tolerant, open and initiative in order to increase chances of employment. It also has to be mentioned, that through the project, the participating teachers can meet new pedagogical and professional methods they can improve the quality of education and training with by integrating them to the curriculum of the school after their return. The success of the project also encourages other schools to take part in similar projects, and strengthens national and international co-operation later on.The main steps of carrying out the project are signing the contracts, selecting and informing the participants, final setting of the programmes, preparation for the journeys, organising preparatory seminars for the participants, fulfilling the professional practice, evaluating and publishing the results and outcome of the project.The dates and venues of the professional practice areSummer of 2017 - Battipaglia, and the region of Campagnia
