PROJECT

as the technology develops, it pushes people to a less energetic life which doesn`t consist any physical activities as a daily life routine. Consequently, it creates a youth away from sports as a daily routine and a healthy life style. Young people who live in big cities are the ones who consume and never produce. They are the ones who take and never give. With the help of this project, as a valuable positive effect, young people will realize that it is possible to have a healthy life standard by creating their needs by themselves in the natural environments such as villages and to have physical exercises at the same time. We thought it is possible to adapt this kind of life cycle in our busy city life. Our informal group came to the life with the initiatives of our legal representative, who was born in and raised in a village and our project “keep up with the nature” is shaped with the help of our other group members who are also connected to natural village life. Keep up with the Nature is a youth exchange aiming young people to experience a real, natural village life and to have gains out of it. The project targets the sustainability of the long term results and objects young people to interiorise this natural and healthy village life as a standard of their own busy life. Our project will take place in Balci Village in Aksaray/Ortakoy heritage to meet the need of expeiencing real natural life conditions with our 28 participants for 12 days including travelling, with the help of methods and techniques of non-formal education and experiential learning. The participants will be chosen considering the balance of number of men and women and giving positive privilege to the women candidates and the ones who never had an experience with Erasmus+ projects or with natural life. In the process, the participants will experience a suitable village life standards with its real habitants. They will have the opportunity to gain the sight of understenading that this life style can really be adoptible to our city life with some simple tricks and effort. We will go out to the nature and live with it. We will pick up vegetables and fruits from the farmer fields and fruit gardens and we will learn about different picking up styles for different types of vegetables. We will learn about how to use soil and will plant some seeds. We will pick up our own eggs fron the hences in the morning and prepare our own natural breakfast under the trees and the participants will start to realize that they can suffice themselves. We will do our own natural village bread and borek and will taste the organic food with no additives. We will go the village mosque and kahvehane- the place where men go and chat- to have chats with local people. This activity will not only get our participants closer the people and the life in the village, it will also effect the attitude of villagers towards European citizenship, and European Union. We will video record this activities and later use for dissemination of the project. The participants will be more sensitive about natural life, more informed, more poised and more experinced about healthy life standards and its possibility to engage it to the city life standards. They will create their own realizations during the project and thanks to our non formal and experiential learning methods they will learn by exploring and from each other. We will conduct our 12 days programme with full energy and enthusiasm to manage our goals, to create a healthier youth in the future and to create more follow-up projects at the end.
