KEEP MOVING VALLADOLID

The project KEEP MOVING VALLADOLID, promoted by a Consortium shaped by the Provincial Council of Valladolid, which acts as coordinator based on their previous experience in mobility projects, along with 4 VET organisations, has the overall aim to foster economic, social and cultural development of the province of Valladolid promoting professional mobility of young people at European level to thereby increase their levels employability, by organizing stays for conducting quality internships in European companies for 3 months, in the cities of Cork (Ireland), Florence (Italy), Lisbon (Portugal) and Rethymno (Crete, Greece).KEEP MOVING VALLADOLID addresses a group of 25 young from Valladolid between 18 and 35 years, in possession of a VET certificate reached in one of the centers that make up the Consortium. These young people have to return from their mobilities no later than 12 months since gaining their qualifications and have to be selected during the final year of their training.Professional sectors to which the project addresses correspond to the training offered by the 5 members of the Consortium:> Administration and management> Agrarian> Graphic arts> Hostelry and tourism> Sociocultural services and services to the communityConsortium members, coming from the world of education, training and employment, are fully aware of the needs presented by the target population, through their interaction on a day to day with this group. These needs are broadly:> A lack of professional experience related to their field.> A very low level of knowledge of other European languages.> A low level of awareness and use of ICT.> A lack of awareness of belonging to a European context.> A little autonomy to solve problems related to their own career counseling.Based on the social and economic context of the province of Valladolid, to the needs identified among the group to which it is addressed, professional families involved and the overall objective of the project, the Consortium has established the following specific objectives:> Get an internationalization of human capital of Valladolid.> Improve the employability and the chances of employability of participants through quality labor practices in European companies.> Adapt to a new working environment and other working procedures in foreign companies.> Achieve basic work skills through language training, intercultural competencies and skills in the use of technologies.> Acquire social skills and personal development skills.> Increase the attractiveness of the organizations involved.> Contribute to align vocational training policies with strategies for economic development a provincial, regional, national and even European levels.KEEP MOVING VALLADOLID has the support of intermediaries and business partners at the destination of good creditworthiness, located in Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Greece, entities with which some of the Consortium partners have previously worked in the frame of mobility experiences.Besides own mobilities, the Provincial Council of Valladolid, as coordinator, will provide added value to the project as a complete custom program employability pathways, making available to the participants on their return from stays all employment counseling, articulated through its Office of the Entrepreneur.
