"Kandava technical school of Agriculture", state funded vocational education provider within the Project “Kandavas Lauksaimniecības tehnikuma izglītojamo prakse Eiropā” aims to ensure vocational practice to 46 students abroad, in the same time promoting internationalization. The proposal intends to send 46 students studying qualification level 2 and 3 in Motor Transport, Agricultural Machinery, Agriculture, Catering service, Hotel service, Power and Electrical Engineering and Administrative and Secretarial Service on 16 days (for people with special needs) and 4 weeks long work placements abroad. There will be six flows to five different European Union countries - Germany (10+ 10 participants, 3 handicapped participants included), Austria (9 participants), United Kingdom (5 participants,1 handicapped person included), Portugal (6 participants), Spain (6 participants). Vocational training for both flows will take place in academic year 2016 ./2017 and each flow will have accompanying person. The placements in enterprises or companies of host country will directly link to participants’ educational program.The main objective of the project is to strengthen and develop technical and personal skills, confidence and employability of participants, as well as to facilitate the entry of young people to the labour market. The project will help the technical school also to better understand and identify the needs of employers for vocational education, training and skills of students, as well as gain new experience in work with handicapped people and about Dual Vocational Education System and learning by doing.-The learning outcomes of this project include the acquisition of the following competencies of learners:• Acquisition and development of professional skills related to the sector of Motor Transport, Agricultural Machinery, and Catering service, Production the Articles Made of Wood and Administrative and Secretarial Service; • Improvement of communication in English as a vehicular language used in the field of Motor Transport, Agricultural Machinery, Catering service, Production the Articles Made of Wood and Administrative and Secretarial Service;• Development of social and intercultural skills through interacting with the mentor, clients, and staff;• Improvement of technical knowledge, verbal and written communication in a foreign language through its daily practice;• Increase in adaptability, initiative and entrepreneurship due to a time spent living abroad independently.• Development of other general (team work, skills to study, ICT, problem solving, time planning) skills and career management (self-esteem, career exploration and creation of opportunities, planning, decision making)-The acquisition of skills will be indicated through effective tutoring and monitoring, adequacy of the contents of training program tailored to the needs of participants, and periodic evaluations. There will be also important influence to sending organization, because accompanying persons will both support support the group and improve skills and gain experience in following matters: work with handicapped people and dual vocational education system.All these outcomes and experience gained within project, which is planned to be evaluated and disseminated through questionnaires, interviews, Euro pass Mobility certificates, press releases and final result conferences, as well as different meetings- both on-line (Skype) and onsite- will enable participant’s improvement of well-being in future. The aim of the project matches EUROPE 2020 strategy and priorities, as well as strategic development of "Kandava technical school of Agriculture" :-Smart growth: developing an economy based on knowledge and innovation;- Inclusive growth: fostering a high-employment economy.
