Our school has been doing trainings for the last 20 years on the edge of the capital, in Békásmegyer. In the begining the local council supported the school, then from September 1, 2004 a non-profit organisation does it. The main training areas, in the catering-tourism profession, trainings of waiters and cooks.
From 2005 we have got two different type of schools, the technical-college and the vocational-school. we have got 190 students, and from them 100 are in the vocational-school.
We have got 17 teachers who teach general education, professional theory and manual training.
After taking part in SZFP- II (Developmnent Program for Vocational School teachers), our teachers are well-trained, they have a general knowledge of the operation principles and trends of European public education and vocational training.
From the 190 learners, 49 have learning disorders and partial-interference ability. For their successful progress at school, we give them all the support needed.
With two winning Mobility tenders we sent 51 learners to the Czech Republic and to Portugal for a month training. All of them completed the project successful ly and our foreign partners were satisfied with their professionalism.
The aim of these projects were:
-getting back to the system of mobility tenders
- involving new partners
-manual training and professional experience to help the new entrants in employment
Short- and long term effects of our projects:
- open wider range of establishing existence for the qualified professionals ( Some students received job offers, 2 of them went back to to Spain after completing the project and are still working there.)
- recognize the importance of self-training and vocational training (language learning, career goals)
- enlarge contact network
- develop foreign language competency
- get acquainted with new technologies, become capable of applying new European standards in the local environment
- become acquainted with international specialities and be able to apply this knowledge
- reach professional competitiveness in domestic and European labour market
We planed two turns:
Group 1:
Graduates of the 2014-2015 school – year
-planned number: 20 people ( 10 waiters, 10 cooks), of which 2 waiters, 10 cooks participated
- planned period: 3 months, completed 3 months
Group 2:
students of year 10 and 11 of 2015-2016 school - year
-planned staff: 20 people (10 waiters, 10 cooks), of which 6 cooks and 10 waiters participated
-planned period: 1 month, completed 1 month
The process of the realization:
Preparation:
-recruit the project-group
-get in touch with the partners
-reconcilation of the project
-preparation of the tender
- presentation of the project and introducing the host partner to the applicants
-presentation of participation criteria and deadline of application
Mobility tender:
-preparation the selection of the instructors and trainers
-signing contracts
-finalization of the project
-keeping continuous contact
Final phase:
-continuous documentation
-maintanace of financial documents
-documentation of the assessement of the professional performance
- preparation of the dissemination plan
- preparation of the professional performance evaluation and the financial reports
Expected results:
Group 1:
-wider range of employment possibilities
- become more independent and capable of self-care
- wider range of employment possibilities in any European country, thanks to improvement of foreign language communication skills
Group 2:
-acquisition of personal competences
(self-knowledge, self-evaluation, cooperation, self-care)
-being motivated for life-long learning
-expansion of the professional-knowledge
