The project "EUROPEAN YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS AND SOLIDARITY" aimed at promoting social innovation and leadership to the field of solidarity among young European students aged between 16 and 25 through training and raising awareness.
With the goal in mind of tackling poverty and any other form of social injustice, the participants have undertaken educational activities aiming at fostering social responsibility, leadership and a spirit of entrepreneurship. From the point of view of methodology, we have used skills and tools that have allowed us to assess the impact and quality of the project in achieving the goals.
To that end, we have held both formal and non-formal activities, such as talks, meetings, feedback sessions and presentations aiming at exchanging ideas for a better understanding of cultures and imbalances that affect different societies.
The main activity for the project has been an exchange between 19 students from different European countries that took place in Spain for 6 days. The two partner associations involved were Club Cora, hosting and leading association for this project and Netherhall Educational Association, partner in the U.K for this project.
During the mobility exchange, the participants undertook different training, awareness and peer learning sessions including visiting underprivileged families and feeding poor people under the auspices of a local NGO, cultural and language exchange by sharing meals and get to-gethers, talk and brainstorming sessions on leadership and innovation in a local training centre (ICADA)
In conclusion, the project has helped to awake and foster in the participants, the spirit of entrepreneurship and leadership applied to the field of solidarity and care for others.
