As Helsinki has more common features with Vienna than many cities in Finland we are keen to further develop the partnership through job shadowing. The partnership Vienna - Helsinki started already with the planning of the job shadowing last year. The subjects of the job shadowing will be following: development and evaluation, strategy building and how to use knowledge of and about the youth in the planning, also participatory budgeting and participatory youth work are in focus. Other objects are the processes, how to develop the planning of youth work and assessment together with youth. To allocate in the yearly calendar all these processes. To build a similar approach and assessment to youth work in other similar European city. Therefore we hope to develop youth work per se. To together try and find new ways to develop the participatory approach in youth work. To build the organisation so these is possible, to exchange experiences and learn from each other on a longer time bases which is made possible knowing and using similar tolls and processes. All the youth of Helsinki and Vienna will have advantage of these shared processes: a more participatory approach in youth work and decision making. More developed and tired structures and ways to activate youth to be active citizens. Sharing of experiences also among the youth in future will give to youth workers and youth the international aspect and experience. If the project is successful Helsinki and Vienna youth work will continue to cooperate. The different tools of assessment will be shared, tried and compared as well as the tools to assure that the youth experiences and voices are collected and heard in youth work and in the society.
