Język obcy i technologie informatyczne w pracy z uczniem młodszym

"Second language and ICT in teaching young learners" is a mobility project designed to cover the period from 2015 to 2017. It is aimed at organising training for teachers of I. J. Paderewski Primary School no. 12 in Katowice, Poland. The main objectives of the project include:
- Teachers' professional development,
- the school's offer will be extended to include bilingual classes,
- helping our school to compete on the education market,
- improving teachers' job skills necessary to teach 6-year-olds,
- promoting European values such as equality, integration, internationality,
- improving second language and ICT skills,
- improving methods of helping less capable students.
19 teachers will participate in the project, including:
- Head Teacher and Head Deputy,
- early school education teachers,
- English teachers,
- school counsellor,
- librarian,
- subject specialist teachers.
The following actions will be taken in order to develop the project:
- applying for and obtaining funds within Erasmus+ programme,
- selecting the right training for our staff in general English with CLIL and ICT, teaching 6-year-olds, teaching less capable students, and school management,
- in-house recruitment of candidates,
- organising preparatory courses,
- organising transport and stay;
- implementation of knowledge and skills acquired at the training centres in workplace, local community as well as on a large scale.
The most important results of the project include:
- opening bilingual classes,
- teachers' ability to teach using CLIL method and ICT,
- creating opportunities for less capable students,
- improving second language skills,
- obtaining right certificates,
- the project will have a positive influence on the teachers' efficiency and commitment.
