The project "Youth and decision makers dialogue to promote political participation in Lielvarde municipality "Come and start to speak!” necessity is to let young people to know what are their chances to participate in Lielvārde municipality, as well to involve decision makers (including local politicians) and young people in discussions, find opportunity for decision-makers to hear young people and for young people to express their views how political participation development can be done in the district. The project will lead to answers to the questions-how young people can get involved in the activities of various NGOs, how young people can volunteer NGOs, how young people can be involved in municipality Youth Council and how they can be involved in schools councils and why it is needed to get involved with these organizations. This project will bring political participation and youth policy implementation capacity of the municipality. The project will raise youth participation and youth policy capacity in district.The project will take place throughout the whole district, including parish of Jumprava and Ledmane. The project planned to involve young people from the rural parishes, young people with fewer opportunities and young people faced with social problems (inactive young people, young people from low income families, young people with behavioral problems), as well as young people with special needs (will be involved in cooperation with Lielvarde NGO for people with disabilities). Overall, the project will involve at least 267 young people aged 13-25 years old and at least 36 decision makers.The project is closely related to the aims of the structured dialogue and principles. The aim of the project is to promote youth and decision makers dialogue, developing youth political participation and awareness of the forms and opportunities of participation in Lielvārde municipality.Project objectives: 1) the project administration and project publicity; 2) organizing structured dialogue meetings in Jumprava and Lēdmane parish (2 forums), Lielvārde (1 forum), where will meet young people and decision makers and NGO representatives; 3) organized a 2-day training for young people about political participation opportunities in Lielvarde and Latvia; 4) organized a meeting with non-governmental organisations in the municipality about youth engagement in political participation; 5) implemented the personal projects of young people into non-governmental organisations for the promotion of political participation; 6) organized the project closing meeting of the structured dialogue in Lielvārde where will meet all district young people and decision makers; 7) project reporting for project sponsor.Project activities will provide a cross-sectoral approach, since young people will be involved with decision makers and professionals whose work is conected with young people (teachers, social workers, cultural workers, etc.), and society (young people parents, NGOs and their target group-seniors, people with disabilities, traders, craftsmen, etc.). Activities will be based on two main values – the active involvement of youth and non-formal learning principles and methods in all project activities.Doing activities, will achieve the following results: 1) implemented 1 project-and made the project publicity-3 publications about the project, at least 3 videos on project activities; at least 10 publications on project activities in various information sources, 1500 labels that informs about the types of political participation in the municipality. 2) arranged 3 structured dialogue meetings in the county – 1 in Lielvarde, 1 in Jumprava, 1 in Lēdmane. Involved at least 70 unique young people and at least 10 decision makers. 3) organised 2 day training for young people about the possibilities of political participation in the municipality and Latvia-20 young people, 2 decision makers. 4) carried out meetings with non-governmental organizations about involvement of young people in political participation-18 county NGOs and the 3 meeting. 5) implemented the personal projects of young people into non-governmental organisations for the promotion of political participation-6 projects, 20 young people.6) organized project closing meeting of the structured dialogue in the Lielvārde, where will meet young people from all the county and decision makers-1 forum, 150 young people and 20 unique decision makers. 7) generated proposals in structured dialogue discussion collected and taken into account in the planning of youth policy in Lielvarde county-4 collections. 8) evaluation of the activities carried out. The evaluation will take place after each forum (4 evaluation summaries), after training-1 evaluation questionnaire summary, after meeting with NGOs -18 evaluation questionnaires.The impact of the project – young people will be more knowledgeable, better informed, and they will participate in the political life.
