The project "Youth Policy strategy" takes a new unique twist on the old approach of creating the Youth Policy.There are 8 municipalities involved in this project (Amata, Vecpiebalgas, Jaunpiebalgas, Priekuli, Cesis, Ligatne, Rauna and Pargaujas) that will work together as one team to reach a common goal: to develop eight effective youth policy strategies streamlined through one collaboration platform that is based on fulfilling the true interests and needs of local youth, aims to identify and address the problems, whilst also engaging local politicians and specialists.Objectives of the project:1) To explore and analyse the situation in the field of youth policy within the above mentioned 8 counties from the point of view of the specialists' involved with Youth;2) To explore and analyse the situation in the field of youth policy within the above mentioned 8 counties from the point of view of youth itself;3) To enable the discussion between the youth, specialists working with youth and local politicians;4) To carry out an in-depth research on young people's interests, desires, needs and problems;5) To develop new Youth Policy strategies catered to each of the counties - Amata, Priekulu, Pargaujas, Vecpiebalgas, Jaunpiebalgas Raunas, Līgatnes and Cesis district - specific needs;6) To develop a unified collaboration platform that serves as Youth Policy Hub across all eight historical Cesis district regions.The project will last for two years - from September 2016 to September 2018. Overall, the project will involve 240 young people from eight regions of Vidzeme aged 13-25 years.Within the project's scope, there will be 14 activities that will contribute in enabling democratic information exchange between and new intelligence gathering from all of the stakeholders involved, in order to fulfil the project's mission.The project will result in:1) Development of one shared collaboration platform for Youth Policy;2) Introduction of eight tailored regional strategies for Youth Policy based on extensive research and in-depth analysis involving all stakeholders;3) Maintenance of a Facebook page to reach wider audience, communicate the project developments and results, as well as further regional cooperation.
