The following organizations will cooperate within the project: Secondary School, Vítkov-Podhradí, as the sending organization for the mobility of students in vocational education and Secondary Vocational School of business and services in Dolny Kubin (SK) as the recipient organization which will provide background in its workplace.
The subject of the project is then a two-week professional training of 10 students cook-waiter, who will be carefully selected by the sending organization to get better in their professional training on the field of their Slovak partner in the following professional skills:
- Rules in gastronomy: to make menu
- The simple service in the restaurant
- Preparation of cold dishes (aspic, mousse, pies, festive dishes, sandwiches, simple restaurant desserts)
- Cooking Venison: at least 2 different dishes
- Slovak national cuisine
The above mentioned activities are parts of the Studying Programme of both schools (SEP field). Nevertheless while studying there is not enough time to for training these skills properly. All the professional skills are necessary for professional development of the students and their good labour market.
These students will gain skills in the workplace of the partner through demonstration and supervision of local teachers of the training field cook-waiter. This expertise will be very useful for the students in their professional use after completion of this course.
The work will take place in small groups of 5 students. Mentoring will be conducted by our training teacher and on the Slovak partner by the educators of practice.
Among other acquired competencies are, of course, social and professional competence (competition, cooperation, understanding of intercultural differences, etc.).
Pupils at the end of the course will receive Europass Mobility, which defines the content, duration and place of internship, as well as outputs in the form of internships filed pupils' performance. This international certificate will enable the students to demonstrate evidence of participation in the professional international internship and also to their potential employers or other educational organizations.
The aim is, among others, to motivate other pupils of that field for their own professional development, to help non-traditional forms of learning and to eliminate all fears of the unknown.
Partners of the project with new partners have sufficient experience with different mobilities in national and international programs (Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, etc.). All formalities related to internships and projects were agreed in the bilateral partnership agreement, which was concluded before the filling of the National Agency in the country.
The activity has its importance , among other things, in publicity of the study field, in support of international cooperation, in promotion of non-traditional forms of learning. Within the planned impact, thanks to this activity it also wants to stimulate interest in the relevant field with potential learners among primary school pupils.
