The project is implemented in the context of the specific needs of practical training and upgrading the skills of students in the field of organic farming with a view to the needs of employers in the region.The theme of mobility meets the basic livelihood of the municipality of Provadia - agriculture, the trends for wider market access of eco-industries, people's aspiration for more sustainable and quality lifestyle, their desire for consumption of high-quality and environmentally friendly products, the priorities of the municipal economy for investments in organic farming.These are all factors that require new knowledge and skills which acquisition the project will contribute.The objectives we aim to achieve with this project are:- Improving and upgrading the practical skills of the participants through the acquisition of experience in the field of organic farming;- Learning Italian experience and good practices in organic farming;- Improving the skills of the participants to work in multicultural environment, improving intercultural and language competences.Beneficiaries of the project are 40 students from Vocational school “Zemya” in the town of Provadia aged 15-20 years at a stage of initial vocational education in the following professions and specialties: profession "Economist", specialty "Farming"; profession "Farmer" specialty "Agricultural producers"; profession "Agroecology", specialty "Agroecology"; Profession "Technician of agricultural equipment", specialty "Mechanization of agriculture" and four accompanying teachers, divided into two mobility groups.The mobilities are lasting four weeks each and will be carried out entirely in real working environment in well established farms for organic agricultural production in Bologna, Italy in July and August 2017. The practice is organized into several modules: organic viticulture; organic crop production; innovative models for the integration of organic gardening in urban life and organic livestock breeding.Practical activities include making compost from organic waste, working with environmentally friendly methods of cultivation and fertilization of soils, application of ecological methods of plant protection and pest control, application of mechanical methods of weed control, preparation of organic feed, nutrition and care for animals, prevention of diseases, methods of treatment, using natural products, etc.In addition to development of professional skills the project will directly contribute also to improving the language skills of users, their intercultural education, building valuable qualities as flexibility, adaptability to change, striving for proving in a different outside school environment, skills for team work.For Vocational school “Zemya” the long-term benefits consist in the possibility of building more attractive educational environment through practices abroad, to ensure a higher quality of education services provided by the possibility of acquiring new skills in a real working environment in line with EU standards and achievements in agriculture, expansion of the training sources and educational opportunities through new international partnerships and exchange of experiences.
