The area around Tournai and Douai faces similar social problems. On the other hand, the construction sectoris in need of skilled workers. Therefore, the partners study the possibilities of work/study contracts to enable young people to obtain a qualification and degree in sectors facing skill shortages.They develop a personalised social and professional integration itinerary with individual guidance for the target groups: personality development, preparation for employment, information to the target group on professions where a shortage of labour exists, focus on professional and social mobility. The major assets of the project are: increasing border mobility of young people in difficulties, a permanent search for innovative teaching methods, involving cities, technical services, professional training institutions, etc. in the fight against exclusion. Achievements: - Organisation of 58 joint cross-border training sessions: worksite exchange weeks, heritage discovery days and information sessions. - 167 trainees formed (57% Walloons and 43% Frenchmen).
