The ISLES project aims at developing an integrated system for the provision of training and support services to training professionals and other operators in the field of vocational education and training (VET). The developed system expects to guide and support the target group with regard to the continuous evolution of Information and Communications Technology (ICT). Project partners will initially establish an observatory on both Information and Communications Technology and its’ educational application, and the transfer of this knowledge to VET actors, in particular training professionals. The project will gather, organise, manage and release information via a project database and suitable support tools and will design, develop and provide a range of online courses for the target group. The primary target group for the project includes designers, trainers and operators of VET and individual companies. Dissemination activities include the creation of a dedicated website, the organisation of two project conferences and four open meetings targeted at potential users, local networking and the publication & distribution of project information materials (brochures, leaflets, CD-Rom).
