At different geographical levels, an economic and social crisis has been installed since a few years. In France, Europe and Palestine, youth currently have important issues to find a job, especially when they don’t already have a first professional experience (job but also internships, volunteering, summer jobs, linguistic practices …).The main challenge, to us, is about the inclusion of the youth in the society. Allowing their social inclusion is giving them the possibility to be an actor in the society in which we are living. It is giving them the keys for an active participation at their personal and professional development and more widely, adapting themselves to new pressures of our society. The alternative development to “classical working life” could be a way to allow youth to find their own career path: - Involvement in a volunteering experience create personal learning process and development in a non-formal setting- Youth mobility as an opening to the world and the interculturalTo answer these different issues and identified needs, Concordia Normandie-Maine and its international partners, propose a one-week training for a public of youth workers, volunteers, trainers and members of active organisations in the field of youth. This training will take place from the 2nd to the 8th December 2016 (excluding 2 travel days), in Le Mans (Pays de la Loire in France region).GOALS OF THE TRAINING- Support the participants to share their knowledge and experiences made in developing volunteering actions,- Reinforce mutual understanding between international youth workers coming from social and cultural different backgrounds,- Reflect on pedagogical methods, on group dynamics and functioning, on facilitator position- Gather knowledge and tools: exchange each-others inputs, usual ways of acting and working- Prepare participants to the setting of volunteering projects towards young people with fewer opportunities- Create a tool box/guide disseminated online for youth workers- Create posters valorizing volunteering and European projects for youth.METHODThe training method will focus on non-formal education approach and, therefore, participative methods will be used: ice-breakers, role playing games, thematic discussions combined with specialization moments, practical workshops (oppressed theatre, role playing games and intercultural games), local projects visits, case studies, group reflexions, team and collective discussions. Participants will be drived to play an active role in their learning process, which will give them the possibilities to get competences and awareness methods, in order for them to handle them for European projects but also in their daily life.
