The project “Into experience!” will invite 8 young people from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Ukraine, Georgia, The Republic of Moldova, Italy and Spain to volunteer in 4 host organizations acting in the social, cultural and arts fields in Lithuania. This project will be held in Vilnius and Vievis cities. Voluntary service will be from 8 to 10 months, during which volunteers will actively engage in the daily activities of the host organizations and will be encouraged to take their own initiatives, learn Lithuanian language, practice English and other languages knowledge, as well as get acquainted with other cultures and creative their own future plans.The main goal of the project - to develop young people's initiative, to try and discover yourself through communication, assistance to others. The project “Into experience!” aspires young people to raise a self-respect and respect to other people proposing active participation in different social activities. There is a mutual sharing experience: volunteers already have some knowledge, skills, competence and organizations value them and motivate to improve themselves learning new things from professional workers, other volunteers and clients. Also volunteers will be asked to promote the dissemination of the idea of volunteering for all interested young people in scheduled meetings. EVS volunteers will be involved in everyday activities of hosting organizations. They will learn the essential skills of non-formal education and teamwork. Volunteers will gain creativity skills and they will develop their social competencies, personal and professional skills, moreover they will discover their new abilities and likes. These skills and competencies will help them to choose their future paths in their education career and personal life.Experience gained during EVS program will help them to become more competitive and stronger in labour market. Participants of the project are different ages from 18 to 30 years old. It will provide an opportunity not just live together in an intercultural environment, but also share different life experience which they already have.This project will help to continue the cooperation between organizations, to gain new ideas. and hosting organizations. Hosting organizations had good experience with EVS volunteers and see such project as an opportunity for volunteers and the members of organization to grow and develop their skills. Organizations are trying their best to make volunteers feel useful and equal in their EVS projects. They are in charge of challenges that would help volunteers discover and develop their skills.
