INCONTRO aims at safeguarding and enhancement of intangible cultural heritage of the joint border between Tuscany, Sardinia and Corsica in order to ensure their knowledge and transmit to future generations. The popular epic poetry and drama were one of the channels of transmission of a culture that is rooted in the land border and transit, marked by major migrations that have imported and exported even their poor hobbies, folk tales and traditional representations. By focusing on common themes of poetry improvised contrast, the traditional popular theater, of oral storytelling and knowledge of nature, INCONTRO want to do a series of initiatives for discussion and shared research that highlight similarities and differences and connect with local activities centuries-old cross-border migration and trade. Overall project objective is the preservation of cultures and the rich oral heritage in a lattice path of protection and enhancement of cultural diversity in the border region to prevent the spread of knowledge and myths of references to a precious cultural and complex world formed the social foundations of living for many generations. The intent is to build a context around INCONTRO dialoguing institutions, scholars, artists, Competent knowledge, local research centers, aiming to raise the transmission of cultural identity and heritage to future generations in areas not only large but localist horizon. Project activities will be the construction of a path of events and seminars, cooperation in specific research activities and deepening the integration of skills to the common native order to transmit knowledge and to save the otherness, the creation of databases, archives virtual common, natural paths in space, traveling festivals, school and teaching practices focused on traditional artists, the production of CDs, DVDs, the value of knowledge for research and training.
