The objectives of the INTERPRES Project as are follows:1. in general, to facilitate the integration, vocational guidance and professional redeployment of Cultural Linguistic Mediators;2. more specifically, for the benefit of mediators as much as their potential employers, to develop systems that will lead to greater awareness of the social role, the characteristics and, last but not least, the identity of this professional figure. The Transfer of Innovation will primarily involve working on the computerised package put together as part of the COPFIM Project, together with the material produced as part of the Combating Discrimination Project, in order to tailor them specifically to Cultural Linguistic Mediators. The former will serve to collect data concerning the formal and informal skills built up by the mediators in a user-friendly and systematic way, and to highlight those elements that are relevant to an operational context. The latter will provide the mediators with new data collection operating tools geared to the collection of data on forms of discrimination (direct and indirect, in the workplace, in accessing services, in regard to ethnicity, gender etc.) and forms of protection guaranteed at national and international level. The key results will be made into a video, a communication medium considered to have the greatest impact.
