Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project wish to provide training to finalists students of the following Professional Courses of 2015 (Laboratory Analysis, Electronics, Computers and Automation, Accounting, Electrotechnical, Secretarial, Industrial Maintenance) and courses of the year 2016 (ICT Management, Accounting, Electrotechnical, Environmental tourism, Restoration and Industrial Maintenance). These courses have, as an integrant part of the training process, which aims to prepare graduate students for their careers, to put them in contact with real work situations. This training will take place in Madrid, between March, April and May, 2015, and in the city of Rimini and Barcelona between March, April and May, 2016. This period will last for 6 weeks to the 12 final year students in 2015, and 6 weeks to the other 20 final year students in 2016, in a total of 32. To concretize the project we have established three partnerships with training organizations, situated in the cities of Madrid, Rimini and Barcelona, which have a wide experience in internships, which represents not only a guarantee that our students will be targeted and monitored, as well as the quality of the training and of the companies / entities who provide them. The selection of the host country - Spain and Italy (Madrid/Rimini/Barcelona) - to carry out the training relates to some selected factors. The economy of the city of Madrid has been growing in recent years at a faster pace than the rest of the country, making it the main driving force of the Spanish economy and playing an important role in European economy. The modern economy of Barcelona has been built on two pillars: trade (both regional and international) and industry, particularly textiles. These two sectors continue to be important with the growth of tourism in recent years. The Italian city of Rimini is a comune in the Emilia-Romagna region whose economy is highly developed compared to the rest of the country. There are numerous small family businesses. Moreover cooperatives are widespread mainly in the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Modena. Tourism is what drives the local economy. But Rimini is focused not only on tourists. The largest convention center in Italy (Palacongressi di Rimini) was inaugurated in 2010 and Rimini already had a huge Expo Center. Each year many conferences , fairs and exhibitions are undertaken, including the largest tourism fair in Italy. There are still other targets of primordial importance related to this geographic area: to promote intercultural business between neighbors; to practice a familiar foreign language owing to the proximity and close kin to ours, of easy assimilation and understanding, promoting transversal skills; to continue the good level of business relations between countries; to know the attitudes, habits, customs and behavior of the partner, in different contexts of our country, helping in the multicultural promotion and in the socialization of trainees. This project aims to answer all the fundamental needs in the current European economic context, and particularly those of the country, whose goals are defined this way: to improve their knowledge; to acquire new knowledge; to apply theoretical knowledge to practice, qualifying these future technical staff for great technological changes through the acquisition of new techniques and technologies in use in European enterprises, broadening its horizons to professional, cultural and personnel levels; to provide effective contact with the working reality and monitoring of major projects being developed by the Entity host during the probationary period; to increase the skills for learning foreign languages and improve English conversation; to develop in students the European spirit and the mobility concept as well as a multicultural professional profile; to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship, essential skills to the needs of organization, administration, execution and innovation in today's economy. The objective of this project is to integrate students into the world of work, giving them the opportunity to do so in the competitive European market. Therefore, we believe that providing these internships to our students, we are contributing to the development of the country and of Europe. But the great challenge of this project comes within the ECVET, as was agreed with the interim institutions to set up teams of trainers in the country of origin and in the host countries, which will start next April a joint effort for the development of a memorandum of understanding with the future aim of recognizing knowledge/skills in different areas related to the considered courses, namely: English, Spanish, Italian, Welding, Food Safety, ITED, etc. ..
