"Internet action” Social networks for real and virtual networking to combat racism and nazism, and promote sustainable lifestyle project will gather 21 participant from 8 EU and EECA countries in March 2013 in Ukraine. The project aims to exchange experiences, share, discuss and elaborate practical tips of using social media in a more efficient way, using it for international networking, awareness raising and action, in particular on the topics of combating racism and Nazism, and promoting environmental sustainability. Participants will explore the themes of sustainable lifestyle, combating racism and Nazism in the context of social media (facebook, blogs, vkontakte and other): how they can be used to inform and mobilize volunteers and activists, serve as a platform to stay in touch, share information and improve networking; as well as link online and offline active citizenship. The methods used during the training will contribute to informal and non-formal learning, social and personal development of the participants and will enrich their intercultural competencies. The outcomes will include increased skills, knowledge and competencies of participants, improved international communication and cooperation, practical tips for more efficient use of social media in youth and volunteer projects and organizations, and ideas for new online and offline projects and activities in the framework of Youth in Action programme.
