The recent situation concerning refugees in Europe has a massve impact on organisations in adult education. A fast integration into the employment market is currently of utmost necessity and therefore this project focuses on two key topics: the recognition of competences and qualifications and the improvement of basic skills of young refugees and people with a right of asylum. The main aims of this project are to achieve an internationalization through the exchange and transfer of good practice examples and to improve the quality of projects and activities of abz*austria by implementing new methods. The participants will study and analyse latest developments, good-practice Examples and Methods concerning the topics recognition of competences and qualifications and enhancing basic skills in learning mobilities in Germany and Sweden. Furthermore, the participants extend their knowledge about recent european strategies related to the education of refugees. Long-term effects of this project will be visible on a strategic as well as an operational level: improving the access to educational activities for the target group as well as the development of individual learning activities and enhancing the competences of the educational staff through specific train-the-trainer acitivities.
