The teachers instruct vocational students and educate students of further education. Therefore it's of prime importance that they attend advanced training courses that focus on linguistic, cross-cultural and pedagogical aspects. Advanced training abroad deepens the European idea and breaks boundaries. Particularly the curricular inclusion of information and communication technology (ICT) inspires educators as well as learners. The inclusion of ICT leads to an expansion of the classroom. Seven language and vocational teachers want to increase their competences and skills in Spain, Malta, Ireland as well as in the United Kingdom. They are especially interested in linguistic, intercultural and didactical-methodical topics. The integration of ICT in the lesson plan should be a topic, too. The participants will be preparatorily trained and instructed for the stay abroad. The advanced training of our staff will modernise lessons and give rise to testing new methods. Acquirements open into further development of the BBZ am Nord-Ostsee-Kanal. The positive experience with advanced training abroad motivates the teachers to make the European idea accessible to the youth.
