One volunteer from Germany will serve at the primary school Södra Skolan in Åmål for one year. He will assist running a media centre at the school and to be responsible for indoor and outdoor activities for the children together with the ordinary staff. By involving children into different interactive games, physical exercises, the volunteer will make children more active and in everyday life. This will also help children to learn how to lead a healthy lifestyle from the early childhood. The volunteer will also actively work with helping the children which are lonely and isolated in order to try to prevent bullying at the school.Two volunteers from Germany and Poland will serve at the project Leader Dalsland/Årjäng for 9 months. The host organisation is promoting rural development by allocating funding for local development projects. Leader Dalsland Årjäng supports the projects and administrates the programme. Leader Dalsland Årjäng also runs 2 specific projects: "Young in Dalsland Årjäng Europa" and "Kulturturista". The volunteers will be contributing in the daily work of these projects, and will meet different groups of people and nationalities in this environment. The projects aim to offer young people means to realize concrete ideas, and to develop tourism in a historical/cultural context in cooperation with partners in Finland and Germany.Two volunteers from Italy and Germany will serve, one year, at the Citizens Contact Center at Municipality of Mellerud. There they will meet a various tasks to work with. They are also supposed to take part in Euorpean Awerness in the municipalty but also among young people in the municipality. EVS is a complement to the ordinary people working at the office and will bring an europeean dimension into the work and into the office.
